Fashion Awards 2024
Celebrating the best of the best
The Royal Albert Hall in London became the epicenter of the fashion world on December 2, as it hosted the British Fashion Council’s prestigious Fashion Awards 2024. The event celebrated the most significant achievements in the fashion industry.
Jonathan Anderson was rightfully crowned «Designer of the Year» for his transformative leadership at Loewe, which has become one of the most sought-after brands. Other nominees included John Galliano, Miuccia Prada, Pieter Mulier, Rick Owens, and Chemena Kamali.
Tom Ford received the honorary «Outstanding Achievement Award» for his remarkable contributions to the industry. Simone Rocha was named «British Womenswear Designer of the Year», while Grace Wales Bonner took home the title of «British Menswear Designer of the Year».
The BFC Foundation Award went to Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena, the co-founders of Chopova Lowena. A$AP Rocky was recognized as the «Cultural Innovator of the Year», and the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator was presented to photographer Tyler Mitchell.
Marco Capaldo of 16Arlington was named «New Establishment Womenswear», and Ahluwalia won the equivalent title for menswear. Alex Consani was crowned «Model of the Year», while Remo Ruffini was honored with the «Trailblazer Award».
The red carpet drew just as much attention as the ceremony itself. Rihanna, showing her support for A$AP Rocky, stunned in a turquoise Christian Lacroix Couture ensemble paired with a hat from the Fall/Winter 2002 collection. Julia Fox made yet another bold statement in a creation by Dilara Fındıkoğlu, while Rita Ora opted for a more understated look, wearing a Primark shirt and tie in a nod to the trendy office-core aesthetic.
