Spinelli Kilcollin: authentic luxury for it girls
Chosen by Zoë Kravitz, Dua Lipa and Adel
Creating jewelry is an art form, but at Spinelli Kilcollin, it’s also mythmaking – a story born not in a boutique window but in the soul of the wearer. It’s only then that jewelry becomes more than adornment: it transforms into a philosophy, a mirror of its time, and an attempt to capture fleeting moments. Spinelli Kilcollin is just such a story, a tiny space where interwoven lines remind us of the connections between people, cities, and dreams.
It all started in a … garage
Designer and fashion consultant Yves Spinelli met his future wife, sculptor Dwyer Kilcollin, at Maxfield boutique, where she was searching for the perfect outfit for an exhibition opening. Their meeting was an explosion of inspiration, like unearthing a time capsule, a union of two creative forces. It was not only the beginning of their partnership but also the birth of Spinelli Kilcollin as a brand.
The first ring Yves designed, crafted using his father’s tools in their garage, laid the foundation for the Galaxy Rings aesthetic. This design of interlinked rings became their signature. Each piece could be worn in multiple ways: across several fingers, as a single statement piece, or even transformed into a bracelet.
«We just wanted to experiment», – Yves recalls. «Dwyer worked with metal, I was obsessed with fashion, and we decided to blend our passions into one piece. We didn’t imagine it would grow into a brand».
Their idea was too bold to go unnoticed. Those handmade rings quickly garnered interest among friends and acquaintances. One wore it across three fingers, another on just one, while someone else turned it into a bracelet. Each piece seemed to develop a unique personality with every wearer.
«We realized we weren’t just creating designs but something deeper. It was about people and their freedom to express themselves», – Dwyer says.
The brand’s philosophy
Spinelli Kilcollin embraces the idea that design can be both luxurious and intentional. By focusing on recycled materials and ethical production practices, the brand has established itself as a key player in contemporary fashion.
The linked rings, now synonymous with the brand, symbolize connection, reminding us that everything is intertwined: past and future, dreams and reality, people and their stories.
In 2020, as the world came to a standstill during the pandemic, Spinelli Kilcollin launched a silver collection, directing proceeds to charitable causes. This step underscored that jewelry could be both beautiful and meaningful.
As an artist, Dwyer sees each ring as a small sculpture. Her hands instinctively feel the texture, weight, and balance. Yves, with his keen eye for fashion, ensures every piece is not just stylish but alive. Together, they create jewelry that becomes an extension of individuality.
Who wears Spinelli Kilcollin?
Spinelli Kilcollin jewelry is for those unafraid to embrace their true selves, individuals who value meaning as much as beauty. Among the brand’s devotees are trailblazers who shape trends rather than follow them, including Zoë Kravitz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Oprah Winfrey, Due Lipa, Adel and Heidi Klum.
«I remember the first time I saw someone wearing one of our rings. It was a photographer at an exhibition. He wore it in a way we hadn’t even imagined, and I realized our jewelry had a life of its own», – Yves shares.
Spinelli Kilcollin has redefined the concept of wedding jewelry. Instead of a single diamond, their designs feature intricate compositions of stones and metals, creating layered beauty. Each ring symbolizes not just love but equality, freedom, and individuality.
«We create rings for those who want to break free from tradition, for those who see marriage as an opportunity to craft something uniquely their own», – Dwyer explains.
The brand’s innovative four-prong settings highlight the beauty of the gemstones, making them appear weightless and emphasizing their natural brilliance.
Spinelli Kilcollin creates jewelry that speaks. It tells stories of connection, the freedom to be oneself, and the significance of every detail. These rings don’t follow trends, they define them.
