GapVintage’s new vintage collection
Iconic pieces to be released throughout the year
Sean Wotherspoon is launching a new vintage program for Gap. Under the name GapVintage, the brand will offer some of its rarest pieces from the 1980s and 1990s, releasing them seasonally throughout the year.
Sean Wotherspoon, the American designer, artist, and sneaker collector best known for creating the Nike Air Max 1/97, has been appointed as Global Curator of Vintage at Gap. In this role, he will lead the GapVintage program, curating rare archival pieces from around the world and releasing them in seasonal drops over the year.
"I'm excited to see Gap take vintage curation to a new level and scale up this program even further, as we originally started it almost two years ago," said Wotherspoon. "With the growing demand for vintage and secondhand fashion among younger generations, I look forward to bringing GapVintage to a new global audience".
