Cannes and Venice Film Festivals

The preliminary lineup for the Cannes and Venice Film Festivals has been revealed.

At Cannes, audiences can expect screenings of Father, Mother, Sister, Brother by Jim Jarmusch, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning by Christopher McQuarrie, The Disappearance of Josef Mengele by Kirill Serebrennikov, and The Phoenician Scheme by Wes Anderson.

Additionally, premieres will include New Wave by Richard Linklater, Eddington by Ari Aster, Highest 2 Lowest by Spike Lee, Young Mothers by the Dardenne Brothers, Sentimental Value by Joachim Trier, and Amrum by Fatih Akin.

Meanwhile, Venice will debut Bugonia by Yorgos Lanthimos, The Smashing Machine by Benny Safdie, No Other Choice by Park Chan-wook, After the Hunt by Luca Guadagnino, a new film by Paul Thomas Anderson, Frankenstein by Guillermo del Toro, Hamnet by Chloé Zhao, Sacrifice by Romain Gavras, and Ballad of a Small Player by Edward Berger.
