Key Dates for the 2026 Grammy Awards
New changes in award categories
The Recording Academy has announced the key dates for the 2026 Grammy Awards, as well as new changes in the award categories. The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in Los Angeles. The nominees will be announced on November 7.
The changes include splitting the “Best Country Album” category into two awards: “Best Contemporary Country Album” and the new “Best Traditional Country Album.” The Grammys will now also present an award for “Best Album Cover.”
Performers who have previously been nominated for “Album of the Year” will now be eligible for the “Best New Artist” category.
