Julien’s Auctions has held a sale of Whitney Houston’s memorabilia in support of her charitable organization, the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation. The auction featured 24 lots, including stage costumes by Marc Bouwer, Dolce & Gabbana, and Bob Mackie, along with accessories and awards. The most expensive items included a 1994 World Cup photo T-shirt for $22,400, a Bouwer suit from the I’m Your Baby Tonight tour for $22,400, a velour ensemble from the “Welcome Home Heroes” concert for $16,000, a Helen Yarmak fur coat for $12,800, a yellow dress from “Dancing with the Stars” for $12,800, and Dolce & Gabbana shoes for $3,200. All proceeds will go toward supporting young people interested in art and education. The auction, held both in Beverly Hills and online, was timed to coincide with the birthday of the singer, who passed away in 2012. She would have turned 62.
