Exaggerations of abstraction: the couture collection of Viktor & Rolf fall-winter 2024
Designers play with geometric shapes
During the Paris Couture Week, Viktor & Rolf presented their latest collection. Designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren decided to revisit their second collection for the brand, originally showcased 26 years ago.
Back then, they drew inspiration from the "mushroom cloud," and this time, they delved into the exaggeration of abstraction. The couture collection was entirely composed of geometric shapes.
The shoulders of jackets followed the shape of triangles, and the dresses were adorned with various other geometric figures. Cubes replacing the tops of outfits, along with drapes and bows, added even more abstraction to Viktor & Rolf's Fall-Winter 2024 couture line.
