How to care for your skin while traveling
Skincare rules for travel

During travel, the skin may experience stress from long flights, climate changes, temperature fluctuations, and different types of water in various countries. That’s why it’s important to remember that in such moments, our skin especially needs proper care to maintain clarity and radiance.
Start your care routine on the plane
The very first rule is constant hydration. Humidity in airplane cabins usually does not exceed 20%, which means the skin quickly loses moisture. Your essential travel companions should be thermal water, a moisturizing spray, or a light mist without alcohol. It’s best to choose a cream with a rich texture or add a hyaluronic acid serum to your usual routine. Just as important is internal hydration: drink water in small sips throughout the flight.

Always apply SPF
Regardless of your destination, applying sunscreen should be a mandatory part of your skincare routine. Since the level of ultraviolet rays is higher in an airplane than on the ground, it’s best to apply SPF before the flight and reapply if necessary.
Don’t overload your face
Travel is not the time for aggressive acids, retinoids, or highly concentrated active ingredients. Stick to the basics: gentle cleansing, a moisturizing cream, and sun protection. This will reduce the risk of irritation and help the skin adapt more easily to a new climate.

Cleanse without over-drying
Tap water in different countries can be harsh, often provoking dryness and sensitivity. Bring a gentle cleansing gel or milk, and if your skin is very sensitive, use micellar water. A small life hack: use bottled water for the final rinse of your face.
A set of SOS products
For a long trip, take along a sheet mask with intensive hydration for the first evening after your flight, a lip balm, and a universal nourishing cream that can be applied to your hands, elbows, and dry patches of facial skin.

Adjust your routine to the country’s climate
If you’re flying to hot countries, choose lightweight textures – gels, fluids, serums. If you’re headed for cold or windy climates, it’s better to rely on nourishing creams, oils, and protective balms.
After flights, the body needs proper sleep and rest – these directly affect the condition of your skin. On the first day, give yourself time to recover, adapt to the new place, and pay extra attention to your skin.
