Under Jonathan Anderson’s direction, the Christian Dior collection explores a new aesthetic of lightness, bringing together technical craftsmanship and romantic sensibility. The designer continues to transform the House’s heritage, gradually moving away from weightiness and overly complex constructions. Architectural forms give way to airy fabrics, delicate silhouettes and layers that create volume without adding heaviness.

Organza, silk chiffon and lace form the foundation of the collection, where transparency and density engage in a subtle dialogue. One of the standout looks features a sheer jacket paired with a miniature ivory skirt composed of ten layers of chiffon. The romantic mood continues through fluid skirts and jackets adorned with hundreds of hand-dyed petals.

Particular attention is drawn to the reimagined basket skirt, which combines a structured, pleated upper section with an almost weightless lower layer. Volume is also created through folds that accentuate the hips and knees while preserving freedom of movement. A key theme is the idea of «deconstructed aristocracy», in which traditional elegance takes on a more relaxed expression. This approach emerges in jackets with shawl collars and shearling trims, as well as sheer checked-organza coats finished with delicate fringing.

The show marks another step in shaping Dior’s evolving design language, allowing the House’s historical codes to find contemporary expression through lightness, considered proportions and freedom of silhouette.
