Alexander McQueen’s sketchbooks up for auction at Kerry Taylor
Featuring designs for Givenchy and his own collections
The sketchbooks of British designer Alexander McQueen have been put up for auction at Kerry Taylor. They include designs created for his own collections as well as for Givenchy during the years 1990 to 2001.
Inside the sketchbooks are fabric swatches, material samples, historical references, and Polaroid photos from fittings. Among the drawings are pieces from his time studying at Central Saint Martins and designs from his final couture collection for Givenchy.
