Artissima
Where artists from around the world converge in Italy
Artissima is one of the most significant events in the contemporary art world in Italy. Participation in Artissima marks a crucial milestone for artists, affirming their commitment to innovation and experimentation. This fair greatly enhances the visibility of artists on both European and international levels, contributing to their professional growth and success. It also fosters valuable connections between artists, galleries, and collectors.
Artissima offers participants the opportunity to showcase their works for institutional acquisitions. For instance, the CRT Foundation regularly adds to museum collections with pieces from the fair, which is considered a prestigious achievement for any artist.
This year, the fair will take place from November 1 to 3, featuring galleries from various countries worldwide. For more information, visit the official website: www.artissima.art.
Among this year’s participants is the talented artist Aziza Kadyri. Each of her works reflects a unique connection with the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan. Using various techniques, she creates art that captivates with its distinctive allure.
Aziza Kadyri: “This installation includes my textile work, as well as an exploration of conversations with artificial intelligence, where traditional suzani meets AI. It resulted in three-dimensional installations and textile works stretched on canvas frames. I might also exhibit a smaller version of a 3D sculpture I presented in Berlin. I was invited to this exhibition when I was in Milan by Eastcontemporary Gallery. I’m quite curious to take part in this fair because it’s the first art fair in my career. This fair differs from others in that it is highly conceptual.”
Aziza strives to convey the rich history and cultural traditions of Uzbekistan in her art, making her works not only visually striking but also deeply meaningful.
