Beyoncé wins her first Emmy
For the “Beyoncé Bowl” holiday special

On August 12, 2025, it was announced that Beyoncé had won her first Primetime Emmy Award in the category Outstanding Costumes for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program for her holiday special “Beyoncé Bowl”, released on Netflix in December 2024. The singer received the award alongside costume designer Shiona Turini and the costume team – Erica Rice, Molly Peters, Chelsea Staebell, and Timothy White. The honor was presented in one of the juried categories, determined by professional voting outside the main ceremony. Winners in these categories are announced in advance to highlight their work. Beyoncé is also nominated in two additional categories – ‘Outstanding Variety Special’ and ‘Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special’ – and could add more trophies to her collection at the September ceremony.
