Winners announced
The 78th Cannes Film Festival has officially come to a close, and the winners have been revealed:
Palme d’Or was awarded to “\It Was a Simple Accident” by Iranian director Jafar Panahi.
Grand Prix went to “Sentimental Value” by Joachim Trier.
Best Director: Kleber Mendonça Filho for “The Secret Agent”.
Best Screenplay: “Young Mothers” by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne.
Jury Prize was shared by two films: “Sirat” by Oliver Laxe and “Sound of Falling” by Masha Schilinski.
Best Actor: Wagner Moura for “The Secret Agent”.
Best Actress: Nadia Melliti for “The Little Sister”.
Special Prize: “Resurrection” by Bi Gan.
Best Short Film: “I’m Glad You’re Dead Now” by Tawfeek Barom.
