Celine appoints new creative director
Michael Ryder takes the helm
The fashion house Celine has announced its new creative director—American designer Michael Ryder. His appointment will take effect at the start of 2025, where he will oversee all lines of the brand.
Since 2018, Michael served as the creative director at Polo Ralph Lauren. Prior to that, he worked at Celine as the design director for ten years, including during Phoebe Philo’s tenure.
This announcement follows the recent departure of Hedi Slimane as Celine’s creative director.
