Charli XCX to produce and star in a film
The artist takes on a leading role in her debut project
Charli XCX is stepping into the film industry as a producer and lead actress in a new movie titled Moment. This marks the first project for her production company, Studio365, launched in collaboration with American indie studio A24.
The film is based on an original concept by Charli XCX. The screenplay was co-written by Scottish photographer and director Aidan Zamiri, known for his surrealist style, and journalist Bertie Brandes. Longtime collaborator and producer Alexander Guy Cook, who previously worked with Charli on Brat, will compose the soundtrack for the film.
