Collaborations we never even dreamed of
Remembering the most unexpected fashion collaborations of recent years – the ones that surprised and inspired us and rewrote the rules of the game

Sometimes, a brand collaboration is more than just a marketing move – it’s a way to speak to a new generation, bring the past back into fashion, or merge meanings in a way that resonates.
Maison Margiela x Christian Louboutin
One of the freshest collaborations that had everyone talking. The avant-garde spirit of Margiela met the sophistication of Louboutin in a striking, style-forward shoe collection. Who would’ve thought two seemingly opposite brands would come together? And yet they share more than expected.
First, both have transformed shoes into symbols, making them cultural codes that are instantly recognizable. For Margiela, it’s the Tabi boot that continues to dominate the industry’s imagination. For Louboutin, it’s the red sole, an icon in the history of fashion.
Second, both brands create for those who dare to stand out – designs that encourage wearers to challenge the norm and embrace being “too much” in the best possible way.

Loewe x Studio Ghibli
The 2021 collaboration became a cultural phenomenon. Even if you’re not familiar with Studio Ghibli, most probably you’ve heard of “Spirited Away” or “Howl’s Moving Castle” – animated masterpieces that captured hearts worldwide in the early 2000s.
Loewe played the nostalgia card beautifully, launching a limited-edition collection with Hayao Miyazaki’s beloved Japanese animation studio. The result turned into a deeply emotional project that bridged high fashion with childhood dreams, fantasy worlds, and tender memories.

Kith x Marvel
Known for bold and unexpected collaborations – from Coca-Cola to “Sesame Street” – Kith raised the bar once again by partnering with Marvel Studios. What started in 2022 has since evolved far beyond typical merch.
These capsule collections feature not only clothing and sneakers but also rugs, wall clocks, chairs, and home decor. The project boldly blurred the lines between streetwear and cinematic universes, finding the perfect balance between large-scale fandom and high style. No wonder every drop sells out instantly.

Tiffany x Nike
Luxury and streetwear collided once again – this time, it gifted the world a refined pair of sneakers: the Air Force 1 “1837”, complete with elegant Tiffany & Co. accessories.
You recognize the collaboration instantly, even if you’ve never heard about it. Why? Because it’s the iconic Air Force 1 silhouette, now with the Nike swoosh in unmistakable Tiffany Blue – a color you simply can’t confuse.
At the back of the sneaker is a sterling silver 925 plaque, instantly adding a touch of elegance. But that’s not all: the brands paid meticulous attention to the details. The sneakers come with interchangeable laces with silver tips, a shoehorn, a sterling silver whistle, and even a toothbrush – all in true Tiffany style.

Coperni x Tamagotchi
Just the mention of this collaboration still sparks cheers from every 90s kid – the ones who grew up with digital pets and now feel that sweet wave of nostalgia.
French brand Coperni, known for its constant pursuit of synergy between fashion and technology, caused a stir once again with its Tamagotchi Swipe Case – a mini version of the iconic Swipe Bag. It’s everything you remember from the good old days: a tiny screen, three control buttons, and countless hours spent caring for your virtual companion. Absolutely brilliant.

While many brands still play it safe, sticking to familiar formulas, others seek out kindred spirits and new ways to connect with audiences. They reimagine stories, values, and aesthetics, crafting something bold, moving, and truly unforgettable. Sometimes, these collaborations spark debate. More often, they spark delight. But above all, they make us feel. And that’s what fashion is really about.
