Demna Gvasalia
New creative director of Gucci
Georgian designer Demna Gvasalia has been appointed as the new creative director of Gucci, replacing Italian designer Sabato De Sarno in the role.
“I am incredibly excited to join the Gucci family. It is a great honor for me to contribute to the legacy of a house that I deeply respect and have admired for a long time,” commented Demna.
Gvasalia will officially step into his position at Gucci in early July. On July 6, he will present his final show for Balenciaga before fully transitioning to his new role.
