Demna Gvasalia’s exhibition opens

An exhibition dedicated to Demna Gvasalia and his ten-year journey with Balenciaga has opened at the Kering headquarters in Paris. The show features 101 items, including the iconic blue IKEA-style bag, a price-tag brooch, a worn-out baseball cap referencing American senator Bernie Sanders, and the legendary red off-the-shoulder puffer jacket. “If I had to choose one piece from this 10 years here that represents me, it would be this,” Demna admitted.

“For ten years, it’s almost like I was doing all of that to impress myself. And now I want to have all those things that are not conceptual. I just want to have the greatest pair of pants. I just want to make this amazing jacket. I want it to be light. I want it to be good to wear. I want to feel sexy in it,” the designer said.
