The fashion world is already calling it the dawn of Jonathan Anderson’s Dior. It may seem like just yesterday, in April, that Anderson was named Creative Director of Dior Men, and yet, only two months later, on June 27, he unveiled his first collection in Paris.

Whispers have already begun whether Anderson could transform Dior as radically as he once did Loewe.

The collection, presented during Paris Fashion Week, unfolded as a true journey into Anderson’s creative universe. Each model appeared as a distinct character, with their own story, mood, and aesthetic. Yet subtle through-lines connected them all, like a narrative thread weaving each look into a larger, cohesive tale. Anderson seamlessly merged eras: the modern day, where men wear pajama-cut suits with ease, and times past, when military-style jackets weren’t fashion statements, but emblems of status and identity. Once upon a time, it was Andersen’s fairy tales that captivated us; now, it’s Anderson’s fashion tale that leaves us fascinated. His main character wears classic tailoring to the office by day, but by night favors bow-adorned tuxedos or reinvented military coats. For the most important meetings, he wears a cape tied with silk ribbons – like a true fashion superhero. He’s confident, even ironic, unafraid to mix the unmixable or pair daring colors with grace. At the show’s finale, Jonathan Anderson stepped out for a bow – but not for the usual blink-and-you-miss-it moment. He smiled with gratitude and a touch of shyness at the guests, and it was clear: a new era in fashion had begun. Now, all eyes are on what comes next.
