Best looks from the 2025 Golden Globes Awards
All eyes on the red carpet
The first dazzling event of 2025, the 82nd Golden Globes Awards, took place at the iconic Beverly Hilton Hotel in California. Hosted by stand-up comedian Nikki Glaser, the ceremony kicked off the year with a glamorous celebration of film and television.
The red carpet captured everyone’s attention, setting new trends featuring shimmering gowns, archival fashion pieces, and, of course, striking shades of red. Demi Moore, who took home the award for ‘Female Actor, Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy’ for her role in The Substance, wowed in a metallic Armani Privé gown. Cate Blanchett followed the gold trend, dazzling in a Louis Vuitton dress she previously wore at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024.
Elle Fanning embraced animalistic elements with a custom look by Olivier Rousteing for Balmain, while Kerry Washington, wearing Balenciaga Couture, made a statement with opera gloves. Michelle Yeoh also opted for Balenciaga, radiating timeless elegance.
Angelina Jolie stunned in a runway look from Alexander McQueen, adorned with shimmering embellishments, while Nicole Kidman turned heads in a silver backless gown by Balenciaga. Ariana Grande and Anya Taylor-Joy paid homage to vintage fashion, choosing archival designs from Givenchy’s Spring-Summer 1966 collection and Dior, respectively. Notably, Grande’s film Wicked, in which she played one of the lead roles, was honored as ‘Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.’
Sequin lovers were well-represented by Zoë Saldana, Cara Delevingne, Mikey Madison, Felicity Jones, and Eiza González. Meanwhile, Dakota Fanning and Emma Stone championed bold red looks on the carpet.
Zendaya turned heads in a custom caramel-toned Louis Vuitton gown, while Pamela Anderson went for dramatic elegance in a black Oscar de la Renta dress. Anna Sawai, star of Shōgun, looked ethereal in a crisp white Christian Dior gown.
The standout trends of the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet were shimmering metallic dresses in gold and silver hues. As for the special cinematic honors, Viola Davis received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for her outstanding contribution to cinema, while Ted Danson was honored with the Carol Burnett Award for his achievements in television.
