Gucci exhibition in Shanghai
Gucci presents an exhibition titled "Gucci Bamboo: Decoding an Icon," which will take place from March 28 to April 6 at the historic Sunke Villa in Shanghai.
The event is dedicated to the heritage of the brand and the significance of bamboo as a material symbolizing strength, resilience, and elegance. The exhibition will feature installations and artworks highlighting the role of bamboo in culture and philosophy. It will also showcase the story behind the creation of the Gucci Bamboo handbag from 1947, known for its distinctive bamboo handle.
Previously, the Gucci Bamboo bag was a central exhibit at the "Gucci Cosmos" exhibition in Shanghai two years ago. At the time, British artist Es Devlin designed a special installation dedicated to the 1949 Bamboo model, along with a series of display windows for Gucci boutiques worldwide.
