Gucci unveils Fall/Winter 2025 runway collection
Milan Fashion Week officially kicks off

The Gucci Fall/Winter 2025 collection debuted in Milan following Sabato De Sarno’s departure after two years at the helm. In his absence, the design team took charge of the collection, presenting a vision that honors the house’s heritage while embracing a contemporary edge. The runway was set against a dark green carpet and velvet drapes, with a live musical performance conducted by Justin Hurwitz. The stage design featured intertwining G’s – a nod to the brand’s iconic emblem.
The collection masterfully blended elements from various fashion eras, reinterpreted through a modern lens. Mini dresses and structured suits inspired by the 1960s embodied timeless sophistication, while leather jackets and flared trousers reminiscent of the 1970s exuded effortless chic. Bold hues and dynamic silhouettes, influenced by Gen Z aesthetics, introduced vibrancy, while the sleek lines, daring cuts, and sensual silhouettes of the 1990s evoked Tom Ford’s legendary era at Gucci.

The color palette was given special attention: gray contrasted with deep orange and violet, red blended with pink and cream, while turquoise found balance with beige. Monochrome ensembles also had a strong presence, offering a striking contrast to De Sarno’s signature Ancora aesthetic.
Textures became a focal point, as glossy shirts were layered under knit vests, oversized faux fur coats were paired with satin dresses, and silk scarves contrasted against matte-finish caps. The collection’s tailoring was elevated with three-quarter sleeve coats, structured vests with oversized buttons, and sleek leather skirts. Subtle references to Alessandro Michele’s era appeared in cardigans, velvet dresses adorned with bows, and vintage-inspired optical glasses. The collection’s bold yet refined aesthetic was further enhanced by statement accessories, including mini and oversized handbags in a spectrum of shades, chunky necklaces, and Gucci’s signature design motifs.
