From August 29 to 31, the courts of the BEFIT ECO fitness boutique will host the 9th international squash tournament. The Independence Day Open 2025 is traditionally held in honor of the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

This annual sporting event brings together both professionals and amateur enthusiasts of this rapidly growing sport. Each year, the tournament attracts more than 100 athletes from over 10 countries across Europe, Central Asia, and South Asia.

For the first time in Uzbekistan, the Independence Day Open has received official international status and is now included in the PSA (Professional Squash Association) calendar. In addition, the event will feature a men’s Challenger Tour 3 tournament – a professional format that contributes to world ranking points. This is a significant step forward in the development of squash in the country and marks growing recognition of the tournament’s growing prestige.

The tournament format includes four categories:

A – high level (including athletes and coaches);

B – intermediate level – participants of local tournaments;

C – beginner to intermediate level (from 3 months of practice);

Beginners – newcomers with 0 to 3 months of playing experience.

Competitions will be held in both men’s and women’s divisions.

The international squash tournament aims to popularize the sport, promote the values of a healthy lifestyle, and strengthen international sports connections. The BEFIT organizers pay special attention to engaging youth and expanding interest in squash among a broader audience, as it is precisely such initiatives that help foster an active, mindful, and athletic society.
