Changes to the event
London Fashion Week is undergoing structural changes. The new head of the British Fashion Council, Laura Weir, is determined to stop the outflow of designers abroad. Among the measures being introduced: elimination of participation fees for in-person designers, increased budget for invited guests, three years of government funding for the Newgen program, and the launch of a new initiative – Fashion Assembly, to support regional talent.
