Miu Miu unveils Spring-Summer 2025 collection
Straddling two worlds
As is tradition, Miuccia Prada closed Paris Fashion Week with her Miu Miu Spring-Summer 2025 show. The set design for the show was created by London-based artist Goshka Macuga, who placed a conveyor belt with newspapers above the runway.
Before the show, the audience watched a film about publishers Pathos and Logos, who work at the fictional newspaper «The Truthless Times» and represent opposites of each other. The idea was to lead into the theme of the collection, which paints a portrait of the Miu Miu girl, someone balancing a dual life, embodying the concept of work-life balance familiar to many.
On the runway, office shirts, midi skirts, and oversized blazers borrowed from men’s wardrobes were paired with sporty swimsuits and two-toned flip-flops. The Miu Miu girl clearly signals that she's ready to leave work behind and head to the gym or relax by the pool.
Pleated and shimmering skirts were paired with leg warmers, while straight midi dresses were adorned with sequins. The collection was rounded out with jumpers, suede and leather jackets, windbreakers, and coats featuring abstract prints.
