What the most beautiful Olympic uniforms of 2024 look like
Inspiration from France and homage to native countries
The 2024 Olympic Games are being held in Paris. The opening ceremony took place on July 26, and shortly before that, participating countries unveiled the Olympic uniforms for their teams.
The athletes from Mongolia greeted the guests of the opening ceremony and their competitors in uniforms by the young Mongolian brand Michel&Amazonka, which is considered one of the most stylish and authentic. The national flair, minimalism, and restraint are evident in the Mongolian team’s uniforms.
Haiti’s representatives wore suits featuring blue shirts and bright skirts designed by Stella Jean. The women’s outfits were complemented by vests with slightly puffed sleeves. The brand aimed to make the uniforms expressive and noticeable.
Ben Sherman designed the uniforms for the British team. This is the brand’s third consecutive Olympic Games. Light tones and patterns with roses, thistles, daffodils, and shamrocks—the symbols of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland—adorn the British Olympians’ attire.
Ralph Lauren has been outfitting the U.S. team since 2008. The inspiration came from the atmosphere of Paris and the patriotic spirit of America. Dark blue blazers with red and white trim, striped shirts, and jeans are elements of the U.S. Olympic team’s outfits.
EA7 Emporio Armani, led by Giorgio Armani, designed the uniforms for the Italian team. The minimalist suits were accented by the country’s flag, which was featured as the lining of the hoodies.
The Australian team was outfitted by the brand Sports Craft. They created vibrant outfits consisting of emerald blazers and pleated skirts. A distinctive element was the lining, which was embroidered with the names of 301 Australian Olympic champions.
The uniforms for the Uzbekistan team were created by the brand 7Saber. The ceremonial outfits featured a combination of white and emerald, complemented by gold elements. The inspiration was drawn from the historic architecture of Uzbekistan, with arches being the central design element.
