Packing hacks for your trip
How to pack quickly and easily
For many of us, preparing for a trip comes with anxiety and stress. Booking hotels and restaurants, searching for interesting locations… All these processes can be simplified! ELLE has prepared a helpful guide with tips on how to pack for a trip quickly and easily.
Trip plan
The fundamental point of any trip is planning the route. The key is to know when the trip will take place and to which part of the world. You can schedule your flight and book your hotel based on this information.
Research and highlight interesting places to visit in advance – museums, historical monuments, art spaces, trendy spots, shopping centers, and recommended restaurants – to save time during your trip.
Making lists
The most convenient planning method is making lists. Write down tasks to complete before departure and list the necessary items for the trip.
Divide the lists into categories: documents, clothing, personal hygiene products, and others. This approach allows you to think through what you really need during your journey.
Packing the suitcase
We always want to fit as many items as possible into our suitcase. But this requires special attention. Following the previous point, stick to the pre-made lists and always weigh your luggage before departure.
One packing hack is to roll clothes instead of folding them. This helps save space and prevent wrinkles. Place bulky items (outerwear, sportswear, etc.) at the bottom of the suitcase. Keep items you might need upon arrival at the top. It’s best to arrange shoes along the suitcase’s sides, ensuring you fit as many essentials as possible for your trip.
Outfits selection
Remember the type of tourism – whether it’s a beach holiday by the sea or an active weekend getaway. Consider the destination country’s season, weather, culture, and planned activities. Plan your outfits for each day in advance and save them on your phone. Choose interesting accessories to complete your look. This way, you’ll know exactly what to wear each day of your trip.
Beauty preparation
During travels, consider the skincare and cosmetic products you need based on the climate and season. Sunscreen, thermal water, and moisturizing masks can help refresh your face after the flight and keep your skin hydrated throughout the trip.
