Powder Pink
A touch of powder in your pink

The color pink appeared frequently on the runways of the Spring/Summer 2025 collections. But as the “Barbiecore” trend began to wear thin, designers shifted their focus to more nuanced and subdued variations of the shade.
“It is less a Barbie pink than a muted shade with a hefty splash of beige or New Nude,” explains Dr. Hildegard Kalthegener, a color expert.
Indeed, powder pink doesn’t scream for attention, it doesn’t dominate the look but instead brings an air of elegant innocence and refinement. Soft and almost neutral, it can serve as a chic alternative to classic white or cream. For instance, try swapping out a traditional office white shirt for one in powder pink – a small change that instantly makes the look warmer and more delicate. The shade pairs beautifully with gray, black, or navy – essentially any color that typically works well with white.

If you’re drawn to contrast and a touch of the unexpected, consider combining powder pink with olive or khaki tones. And, of course, if you want to add a hint of edge, go for something bold: chunky shoes, a structured blazer, or pieces with sharp silhouettes, so it’s clear that there’s more to it than meets the eye: beneath the softness lies a strong character.
