The Samarkand Marathon series, the first in the CIS accredited by SheRACES, aims to align women's participation in sports competitions with international standards of equality and inclusion.

SheRACES initiative focuses on increasing the number of women participants in running competitions, especially in challenging distances where their representation remains low. The organization proposes specific recommendations to create more inclusive conditions: diversity in communication, communication style, flexible time constraints, detailed logistics information, and a fair participation transfer policy.

"For us, it is crucial to create conditions where every woman, regardless of age, profession, or stage of life, feels confident, comfortable, and safe. The modern woman's lifestyle includes activity, health, and sports, and this should be reflected in the sporting events we organize. That's why the accreditation of the SheRACES initiative is a significant step for us. Uzbekistan is moving towards a more inclusive and conscious future. We believe that the development of sports, especially among women and youth, will contribute to the advancement of a healthy modern society," - Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan.
