Art Basel Awards Laureate
The first recipients of the Art Basel Awards have been announced – an honor celebrating "outstanding contributions to the world of contemporary art." Among the inaugural medalists is artist and filmmaker Saodat Ismailova, alongside fellow honorees such as artist David Hammons, Joel Wachs (President of the Andy Warhol Foundation), and philanthropist Maja Hoffmann, among other distinguished figures.
The names of the Gold Medal winners will be officially revealed at Art Basel Miami Beach, where the selected recipients will be awarded and invited to create a special project to be unveiled at Art Basel 2026.
