The essentials: packing your vacation makeup bag
A well-packed vacation makeup bag is the key to a carefree holiday!

A summer romance, sunsets on the beach, cocktails by the pool… Summer creates endless reasons to shine. To look fresh and well-groomed even after a sleepless night by the sound of the waves, you need just one thing — a properly packed makeup bag. Makeup artist Zahar Grinov shares with ELLE Oʻzbekiston which products will become your loyal travel companions.

Cleansing as a ritual
A foam, mousse, or gel cleanser is how every vacation day should begin (and end). They handle not only city dust and makeup residue but also remove stubborn SPF after long hours in the sun.

And micellar water? Your SOS-helper on the road. Don’t forget a hydrating toner or mist – a must-have in hot countries, especially if you spend the whole day between the beach and city strolls.
Hydration for the skin
The climate, rhythm, and cuisine may change, but your skin’s need for hydration remains the same. During the day, opt for lightweight textures: serums and emulsions won’t weigh the skin down and instantly give it radiance.

Before heading out, don’t skip SPF – preferably in a compact format: sun-protection fluids, cushions, and tints with UV filters. These products have long matched traditional creams in effectiveness and are far more comfortable to wear.
Recovery
After aperol and dancing comes recovery. Skin loves overnight masks and nourishing creams: while you sleep, they do the work. The main thing is not to overload. One universal product with a rich texture is enough to wake up with a “fresh-from-the-salon” face.
Don’t forget the body: an after-sun cream or oil not only moisturizes but also prolongs your tan.

SPF filter in real life
Sunscreen isn’t just protection – it’s your investment in healthy skin. 30, 50, or even 70 – it all depends on the climate and your skin phototype. We recommend testing the texture in advance: the product should not only be effective but also pleasant to apply. That way you’ll actually use it every day (and not once a week).

Secret weapon: SOS products
Anything can happen on a trip. That’s why your makeup bag should include patches (hydrogel ones, for example), sheet masks, and spot treatments for breakouts. And if an all-night party is on the agenda, they’ll help you look fresh the next day — without a trace of a sleepless night.

Summer makeup: less is more
The golden rule of vacation makeup is the lighter, the better. BB or CC cream with a radiant finish gives a natural glow without a mask effect. Don’t forget powder: transparent, loose, and invisible. It will keep your makeup in place and prevent excess shine.

Sun-kissed: a tan without the sun
Bronzer is the star of your look. Apply it on the eyelids, cheekbones, and a bit on the forehead – and you’re done: you look as if you’ve just returned from the coast. This product requires no makeup artist skills, works instantly, and is always on point.

Focus on the eyes
No complicated schemes: cream shadows with a light satin finish, a soft brown pencil, and mascara – preferably brown too. This set makes the eyes expressive while keeping them natural.

Lips, please
During the day, apply gloss or oil with SPF (lips, by the way, burn first). In the evening, opt for a bold lipstick, like classic red. Against a tan, it looks especially daring, highlighting your confidence and chic. No extra details, just you and your vacation adventures!
