The “House of McQueen” Play
A tribute to the life and work of the designer

This September, the new theater, The Mansion at Hudson Yards, will host the premiere of House of McQueen – a theatrical production dedicated to the life and creative legacy of the legendary designer Alexander McQueen.
The lead role will be played by Luke Newton, a Bridgerton actor. The production promises to be visually immersive, featuring LED panels, archival footage, and an exhibition of original McQueen dresses – all coming together to create a multilayered portrait of the artist who turned fashion into art.
“This is the story of a genius who fought against the system but never lost his passion for beauty and freedom,” commented Gary McQueen, the designer’s nephew and the creative director of the project.
