Venice film festival announces program for 81 edition
The competition will run from August 28 to September 7
The Venice International Film Festival has announced the program for its 81 edition. The competition will take place from August 28 to September 7 on Lido Island in Italy. The festival will open with Tim Burton’s film “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” and close with Pupi Avati’s “American Garden.”
In the main competition, the films include “Joker: Folie à Deux” by Todd Phillips, “Baby” by Halina Reijn, “I’m Still Here” by Walter Salles, “The Room Next Door” by Pedro Almodóvar, “Battlefield” by Gianni Amelio, “Their Children After Them” by Ludovic and Zoran Boukherma, “The Brutalist” by Brady Corbet, “Vermiglio” by Maura Delpero, “Love” by Dag Johan Haugerud, and other films.
Additionally, there will be screenings of out-of-competition films, series, and documentaries.
