On day two of Visa Fashion Week Tashkent, it felt like the entire city was breathing fashion. Guests began recognizing one another, the backstage was running like clockwork, and designers seemed to enjoy the atmosphere just as much as the attendees.

If the first day focused on new interpretations of femininity, touched on environmental issues, and even immersed us in the ambiance of quiet Italian luxury, the second day was unmistakably about cultural energy, rich in tradition and Eastern DNA.

The day opened boldly and loudly with national flair. Local brand Morobulsin kicked things off with a striking combination of karnay-surnay (traditional Uzbek wind instruments), an energetic DJ set by DJ King Macarella, and fashion as a form of cultural code. The collection paid tribute to Samarkand, with every detail reflecting this theme. The hems of skirts and peplums were adorned with the silhouettes of the iconic lions guarding Sherdor Madrassah. Eastern mosaic patterns appeared on men’s blazers, evoking fragments of architectural heritage. Naturally, everything was accented by accessories and prints featuring the protective "evil eye," which has become a signature of the brand.

Dildora Kasimova once again showed how history doesn't have to remain in the past if it’s thoughtfully woven into the present. Her brand continues to shape the image of the modern woman: her strength rooted in heritage, her grace found in calmness. The collection blended femininity, character, and cultural memory. Embroidered chapans with floral motifs, a denim jacket adorned with scattered paisley patterns – the almond-shaped oriental design with a curved top stood out. And of course, cotton was the show’s main character: embroidered, textured, and seemingly carrying the imprint of hands, time, and place. Singer Sevara Nazarkhan also graced the runway, bringing joy, ease, and soulful warmth to the presentation.

The day ended with a collaborative collection by designers Saken Zhaksybaev and Akmaral Zharaskyzy, which originally debuted in Almaty. The show began with a performance: falling snow, a fan dance, and a near-theatrical monologue on fragility and strength. From the first moments, the runway turned into a scene from an arthouse film – meditative and mesmerizing.

What followed was a fusion of Japanese and Kazakh cultural codes, conveyed through architectural silhouettes inspired by kimonos and custom prints.

Visa Fashion Week Tashkent concluded, leaving behind not just visuals but reflections. The runway set the rhythm, but the true magic happened in the audience, in how viewers listened, watched, and felt. This, after all, is what it's all for – fashion and Fashion Week itself.
