Iris Van Herpen plans to present couture collections once a year
The Dutch designer reveals her future vision
The Dutch fashion house is famous for its specialization in high-tech couture crafted using innovative materials. Iris Van Herpen was the first designer in the world to create haute couture garments using 3D printing technology.
"I want to dedicate more time to a multidisciplinary approach while working on my collections. <...> I want to spend more time researching and developing the pieces, as the collaborations I undertake with institutions, artists, and scientists require time. I believe that’s where the beauty of the process lies. We can delve deeper into advanced technologies to achieve better results for the show," the designer shares.
