Bottega Veneta and poet Yu Xiuhua
Installation of 19,000 books

Bottega Veneta unveiled an installation in Shanghai composed of 19,000 books by Chinese poet Yu Xiuhua. Living in a rural village and diagnosed with cerebral palsy, Yu explores themes of love, attachment, solitude, and illness. Over the years, she has written more than two thousand poems, which have been published in various outlets since 2015.
“For Bottega Veneta, Yu’s work is a powerful example of self-expression, which is a fundamental part of the brand’s core values and ethics,” the fashion house stated.
