Lady Gaga leads the MTV VMAs

Lady Gaga has become the top nominee at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, earning 12 nominations – more than any other artist this year. This marks the third time she has led the list of nominees, following previous occasions in 2010 and 2020. Gaga is nominated in key categories, including ‘Video of the Year’, ‘Artist of the Year’, ‘Song of the Year’, and ‘Best Album’. Her collaborative track with Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile”, received multiple nominations, while her album “Mayhem” is in the running for ‘Best Album’. The awards ceremony will take place on September 7 at UBS Arena in New York.
