Bvlgari unveils the magic of color in India

There are moments when jewelry ceases to be mere adornment and transforms into alchemy. One glance at the brilliance of a gemstone – and it feels as though the world is awash in new shades. It is from this spark that the story of Bvlgari’s new chapter begins, taking us back to the very origins of inspiration – to the heart of India.

In May, the House unveiled the Polychroma collection – a hymn to color and its endless emotional dimensions. But the true magic happened much earlier, long before the first sketches reached the designers’ desks. It was born in Jaipur, the “Pink City,” where streets mirror the hues of sunsets and every stone carries its own myth. It was here that Bvlgari’s Creative Director Lucia Silvestri once again found herself among those who can read the language of gemstones.

Silvestri has returned to Jaipur more than forty times throughout her career – positioning this city as an eternal source of inspiration. For her, each rubellite or emerald is the breath of nature, waiting to be heard. “The moment I see the right stone, I already begin to dream,” she admits. That dream becomes the heartbeat of a future masterpiece.

The highlight of this journey was the presence of Priyanka Chopra Jonas – Bvlgari’s global ambassador and a woman whose biography bridges continents, cultures, and energies. For Priyanka, it was a return to her roots: an encounter with a city where craft traditions span centuries, and artisans’ hands turn stones into revelations. Together with Lucia, she stepped into the secret workshops of master cutters, where every strike of a tool is a dialogue between time and matter.

It is no secret that Jaipur is regarded in the jewelry world as the capital of colored gemstones – a true temple of color. Here, chromatics become a culture, and the shades of tourmalines and sapphires resonate like musical notes. Later, in Rome, Lucia Silvestri begins weaving harmony, experimenting with countless stone combinations. 

Polychroma reveals the journey of a gemstone – from its selection to the Roman workshop. Sketches, artisan work, precise details – each stage adds a new dimension until the jewel shines in its full brilliance. Within these creations live saturated hues, the artisans’ mastery, and a subtle harmony of form coexist.
