Exhibition “Dialogue: legacy and perspective”

On September 18, the Gallery of Fine Arts of Uzbekistan will open the exhibition “Dialogue: legacy and perspective,” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Georgiy Brim – laureate of the State Prize of Uzbekistan in literature, art, and architecture, and an outstanding stage and set designer. Brim transformed stage design into a philosophical concept of “theatrical scenography,” laying the foundation for a national school that continues to evolve today. Among his landmark productions are “A Grave Accusation,” “The Drama of the Century,” “Oedipus Rex,” “Mary Stuart,” and “The Sixth of July.” The exhibition will present works by Brim himself, as well as by his successor, Shukhrat Abdumalikov, Honored Artist of Uzbekistan.
