Aral School
Launch of an educational program
The Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan has announced the launch of the Aral School – an international educational program dedicated to the ecological and social restoration of the Aral Sea region and global climate challenges. The presentation was delivered by the school’s program director, bioregional designer Jan Boelen. He announced an international call for participants for the pilot course, which will begin in January 2026 and focus on themes including food and water, sustainable practices, and landscape transformation.
The Aral School will serve as a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue between designers, researchers, architects, and local communities.
