Butterflies and 1960s heritage in the new Roger Vivier collection
The Maison’s archival codes take on new forms, textures and a contemporary expression in Gherardo Felloni’s Spring Summer 2027 collection
Roger Vivier welcomes Spring Summer 2027 with a return to its own heritage, reimagined through the vision of Gherardo Felloni. Presented during Paris Fashion Week, the «Vivier en Fleur» collection revolves around the idea of blossoming — a metaphor for renewal, movement and the transformation of the Maison’s most recognisable codes. Here, the archive is not treated as a memory of the past, but as a living source for a new interpretation.

Felloni preserves the distinctive character of Roger Vivier while transforming familiar proportions, materials and contexts. One of the key highlights is a new interpretation of the Belle Vivier: a strappy silhouette featuring a wider buckle strap and a spool-shaped heel drawn from the archives. Denim, suede, patent leather and vivid satin shades bring the iconic design into a more contemporary and effortless context.

The Maison’s historic lace also moves beyond its traditional setting, appearing on satin and embroidered sneakers. Once a delicate decorative detail, it becomes a texture in its own right, connecting the aesthetics of the 1960s with the dynamic character of contemporary footwear.
The butterfly emerges as the season’s defining symbol, reflecting the collection’s central idea of transformation. Its image appears in embroidery on satin bags adorned with precious embellishments, pointed-toe mules and strappy silhouettes. Through an interplay of materials and forms, the motif evolves from an archival detail into a distinctive element of Roger Vivier’s contemporary visual language.

The theme of renewal continues through the details, as familiar elements of the Maison’s heritage seem to take flight and begin a new life. On bleached and washed denim vests, archival motifs are reimagined through embroidery, crystals, beads and sequins, while floral elements and details reminiscent of 1960s lace and macramé are given a fresh interpretation.
During the presentation, guests were given access to the Roger Vivier’s archive, offering a closer look at how its iconic codes can be transformed, combined and brought into a new contemporary dialogue.
