The lineup for the 78th Cannes Film Festival, which will take place from May 13 to 24, has been officially announced. The program will open with Amélie Bonnin’s film “Partir un jour”, and the jury will be presided over by actress Juliette Binoche.

The main competition features titles such as “Eddington” by Ari Aster, “Nouvelle Vague” by Richard Linklater, “Alpha” by Julie Ducournau, “The Phoenician Scheme” by Wes Anderson, “Young Mothers” by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne, “The Secret Agent” by Kleber Mendonça Filho, “The History of Sound” by Oliver Hermanus, and “Two Prosecutors” by Sergei Loznitsa.

Additional notable screenings include “Amrum” by Fatih Akin, “The Wave” by Sebastián Lelio, “The Disappearance of Josef Mengele” by Kirill Serebrennikov, and the highly anticipated “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” starring Tom Cruise. The "Un Certain Regard" section will showcase debut works by Scarlett Johansson and Harris Dickinson.
