The fashion house draws inspiration from amazons
The show opened with Sofia Ginevra Gianni, a skilled archer and multimedia artist, carrying a bow on her back and setting the tone for the entire event. “You don’t have to abandon your femininity to be strong,” commented designer Maria Grazia Chiuri backstage following Gianni’s striking entrance.
Maria Grazia dressed the models in jackets and trousers inspired by Dior’s 1962 archival line, pairing them with sheer drapery reminiscent of the marble statues of Diana of Versailles housed in the Louvre. The collection features nods to boho style through jackets and fringed skirts. Comfortable and chic lace-up boots complete the look, perfectly paired with long leather gloves.
