Diyora Keldiyorova’s triumph over Uta Abe
Victory was named judo’s event of the year
The International Judo Federation (IJF) has reviewed the highlights of 2024 and announced the season’s top athletes. Diyora Keldiyorova’s victory over Uta Abe at the Paris Olympics has been recognized as the Event of the Year in the judo world. Additionally, Marko Spittka, Keldiyorova’s personal coach, has been named Best Coach among women’s national teams.
The Uzbek Olympic champion is taking a break to recover from injuries sustained during her preparation for the 2024 Olympics.
