Getting ready for vacation: Cruise Collections 2025
Chanel, Chloé, Max Mara – we've gathered the most beautiful pieces
Summer sun burns the skin especially hard. This means you need to think about both beachwear and everyday outfits.
Chanel held their cruise line show in Marseille – on the terrace of the famous Cité Radieuse by Le Corbusier. Virginie Viard referenced the Olympic Games and Coco Chanel’s special love for this city. The designer showcased tweed suits, tracksuits, swimsuits with bows, sets with miniskirts and sweaters. A whole range of looks was dedicated to yellow and white colors.
Chloé, under the new creative direction of Chemena Kamali, delved into the work of Karl Lagerfeld. In the Resort 2025 collections, some archives were explored: Lagerfeld’s apartment in Saint-Sulpice and the 1975 collection.
Chemena interpreted boho style in sheer blouses and dresses with ruffles. She suggests pairing them with long leather shorts, fluffy bags, and high-top sneakers. The accessory line was enriched with multi-layered jewelry.
Max Mara presented their resort collection at the Palazzo Ducale in Venice. Ian Griffiths drew inspiration from the travels of the Venetian merchant Marco Polo. Particularly captivating was Marco’s contribution to trade development between the West and the East. The collection features trends such as turbans, puff sleeves, complex patterns, dense fabrics, and chapan coats.
Guests of the Max Mara show included Kate Hudson, Brie Larson, and Yara Shahidi. At the same location – the Palazzo Ducale – there is an exhibition dedicated to the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo running until September 29.
