Hoodies are a wardrobe staple familiar to everyone, but this fall, they’ve emerged as an unexpected trend, taking over the runways of the world’s most prestigious Fashion Weeks. From jackets and coats to sweaters and even dresses, hoods have become a functional yet stylish feature – perfect for shielding against autumn winds and sudden showers.

Max Mara embraced hooded coats, while Blumarine showcased windbreakers. Atlein proposed pairing classic bombers with hoods, and Balmain introduced cropped trench coats with the trend-setting detail. Don’t forget about quilted vests, a practical choice for transitional weather, and the ever-reliable hoodie.

Alexander McQueen and Del Core spotlighted hooded sweaters, an unconventional twist that guarantees a standout look. Knit dresses have also joined the hoodie trend for a perfect balance between elegance and comfort. Khaite recommends sleeveless designs paired with matching gloves for an extra touch of sophistication.

Tory Burch and Courrèges pushed the trend further, presenting hooded long-sleeve tops. Styled as seen in Courrèges’ runway looks, these pieces can be worn with outerwear that lacks the trend element, offering endless layering possibilities.
