J.Kim opens an experimental creative lab in Tashkent
Located in Chorsu
The brand J.Kim has launched the art project J.Kim Objects, where contemporary forms are fused with traditional Uzbek craftsmanship. This collaboration results in unique pieces that can be purchased at the J.Kim corner in the Chorsu Bazaar.
The store operates in delicate harmony with its surroundings, where far more than just commerce takes place. At Chorsu Bazaar, deals are made, performances are held, children play, prayers are said, and glances are exchanged. The brand’s team hopes that through their objects, every visitor can experience their unique journey through Chorsu.
«I wanted to create my own world here. So you walk through the bazaar, and then suddenly, you find yourself in a completely different, slightly magical space, unlike anything you’d associate with either modern or historical Uzbekistan», – shares Jenia Kim, the founder of J.Kim.
The interior design, crafted from natural materials, subtly references both Uzbek and Korean cultures. J.Kim Objects is open to visitors from Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, located at 1/12 Sakichmon Street.
