While high socks have become a staple, knee-high socks still seem a bit intimidating to some. Fashion influencers now embrace them, pairing them with sneakers, pumps, slingbacks, loafers, and ballet flats.

Knee-high socks can be either sheer nylon or cozy wool for cooler weather. Influencers often gravitate towards black, but you can also experiment with shades like grey, chocolate, white, burgundy, or any other color that complements your outfit.

The key to wearing knee-high socks is not to hide them under clothing: shorts and mini skirts are great styling options. Pay special attention to pairing them with leather skirts, which will create a textural contrast with knitted or lace socks. If this look feels too bold or doesn’t suit your taste, skirts, and dresses with subtle slits are great alternatives.
