La croisière: Jacquemus Spring-Summer 2025
Shot on iPhone and framed by 1900s sculptures
Simon Porte Jacquemus unveiled his Spring-Summer 2025 collection in a stunning Art Deco apartment designed by Parisian architect Auguste Perret. The entire show was filmed on an iPhone 16 Pro Max, while the set featured sculptural masterpieces by Aristide Maillol, including Baigneuse se coiffant ("Bather Combing Her Hair") from 1930 and Se voilant les yeux ("Covering Her Eyes") from 1900.
The collection played with voluminous silhouettes and structured tailoring: full-circle skirts were paired with rigid organza bombers, high-collared jackets cinched with leather belts, and wide-leg trousers worn with sloped-shoulder blazers. Jacquemus emphasized the waistline, not just with trousers but also with cummerbunds. One standout ensemble featured a geometric crop top and pencil skirt, accessorized with banana details, while an opera coat was adorned with bold animal prints. The classic black-and-white palette was punctuated by soft yellow, scarlet, and deep navy hues.
The star-studded runway included Christy Turlington, Adriana Lima, Irina Shayk, and Doutzen Kroes, who showcased slingback pumps, Cortez sneakers from the brand’s Nike collaboration, leather loafers, and squared-toe heels. The looks were finished with elongated clutch bags with flap closures and playful charm keychains, adding the final Jacquemus touch to the season’s effortlessly chic aesthetic.
