ritish designer Peter Copping has been appointed as the new creative director of Lanvin. The brand’s representatives highlighted on social media that Peter’s appointment marks a significant milestone in the revival of one of the great French fashion houses.

Copping’s journey in the fashion world began in 1990 when he studied at the Royal College of Art in London and worked as a Saturday consultant for Christian Lacroix’s store. From 2009, Copping served as the creative director at Nina Ricci, held the same position at Oscar de la Renta from 2015, and has been at Balenciaga Couture since 2021 until now.

“Jeanne Lanvin was a visionary of her time, whose interests and passions extended far beyond fashion, much like my own. It is a tremendous honor to be chosen as the creative director of Lanvin and to have the opportunity to write a new chapter in the storied history of this iconic house together with the atelier and the brand’s team”, Peter wrote on social media.
